Other Types of Therapy
Christian Counseling: (Also known as Biblical Counseling) Combines your faith with the principles of psychology to improve your mental health and relationships. Available to ages 6 to 96.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT): Counseling in which negative patterns of thought about the self and the world are challenged in order to alter unwanted behavior patterns or treat mood disorders such as depression. Available to ages 6 to 96.
Motivational Interviewing: Counseling method that involves enhancing a patient's motivation to change by means of four guiding principles. Available to ages 6 to 96.
Person-Centered: Non-directive approach to talk therapy. Requires the client to actively take the reins during each therapy session while the therapist acts mainly as a guide or a source of support for the client. Available to ages 6 to 96.
Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT): Consists of a combination of behaviors that are unique to a particular parent and particular child. Available for children at least 6 years old. Parenting Class Workbook may also be recommended.
